So how do we identify large scale
Opportunity (Investment) Areas?
• Barton Willmore alongside Knight Frank sought to identify areas
which present development opportunities
• We examined where economic fundamentals converge with
planning and local knowledge to suggest the best possibilities for
development activity in the short and medium term
• This led to a series of Opportunity Areas being identified.
• North of England – Leeds, Manchester, Durham and York
• Midlands – Birmingham, Nottingham, Warwick and Leicester
• South West – Bristol and Bath & North East Somerset
• South East – Cherwell and South Oxfordshire, Guildford and
Reigate & Banstead
