Day School: Outline Programme (Times approx.)

  • It is a c.15 minute walk from Elms Village to Riddel Hall. A shuttle bus will be available, with the last departure from Elms Village at 9.00 am. If you are using the bus, please leave plenty of time for getting on and off.
  • 8.45 am - Registration (Day School only) and arrivals (including refreshments & exhibition stands)
  • 9.30 am - 12.45 pm Morning Sessions (including refreshments & exhibition stands)
  • 12.45 pm - 2.00 pm Exhibition stands and Lunch
  • 2.00 pm - 5.05 pm Afternoon Sessions (including refreshments & exhibition stands)

IHBC Annual General Meeting: Riddell Hall

  • 5.15 pm: IHBC 2018 AGM - All School delegates are encouraged to attend (Voting restrictions apply).

Shuttles leave Riddel Hall for Elms Village from 6.00 pm or earlier. It is a c.15 minute walk from Riddel Hall to Elms Village.


Annual Dinner (Day School delegates and non-School guests welcome: see Booking Form for details)
The Annual Dinner is supported by Belfast City Council and will feature the IHBC Gus Astley Student Award presentations and IHBC Marsh Award presentations.

  • c. 7.15 pm: Bus departure from Riddell Hall for residential delegates
  • c. 7.30 pm - 11.00 pm (approx.): Annual Dinner - Belfast City Hall and bus return to Riddell Hall.

SATURDAY STUDY TOURS: OUTLINE ARRANGEMENTS

  • 9.00 - 9.30 am: All Study Tours depart from outside the 'Treehouse', the civic center to the Elms Village accommodation.
  • 1.00 pm - 5.00 pm: Study Tours end, and departures from Annual School, with all bus tours ending at Queen's University Belfast, Elms Village, and offering drop off points in central Belfast main bus and train stations.

  • Sandwich lunch options will be provided for all tours (Please indicate when booking if lunch is required)
  • All options are strictly subject to availability, and are filled on a 'first come' basis

Tours end between 1.00 pm and 5.00 pm. Please select tour preferences to suit CPD priorities and travel requirements.


Leaving the Annual School: All returns from bus tours will offer drop off points at Belfast Great Victoria Street and Central train stations, and Europa bus station, in central Belfast, approximately 15 minutes BEFORE going to Queen's University Belfast Elms Village for final drop off.
