Two tours of Cardiff Castle are available to those attending the dinner. Each tour will be led by John Edwards, former Cardiff Castle Surveyor to the Fabric who initiated and led the conservation and development project as Project Manager.
The tours start at 6pm and 6:30, with a maximum of 30 per tour.
Cost: £100 IHBC members; £120 non-members
Reduced rate for IHBC Concessionary members and Charities: £70 (excludes Banquet option for early bookings; charity numbers must be supplied)

A conference examining the challenges and benefits of retaining and enhancing the historic environment, with particular reference to Wales, covering
- The historic environment in the economy
- Cross-cutting benefits of conservation, including through regeneration and tourism
- Economic and environmental benefits of adopting conservation approaches across the built environment.
With the impact of recession increasingly threatening long-term investment, this is the perfect opportunity for people across heritage and related industries to highlight the economic benefits and potential of historic places.
* The first c.80 delegates are invited to a sponsored banquet in Cardiff Castle on the evening of 23 September, with the Heritage Minister and Cadw Director as guests. Numbers are strictly limited, and allocated on a ‘first come’ basis. There is no extra charge for the banquet but early bookers are requested to confirm their interest in attending at the time of booking. Successful delegates will be notified of their places from August.
