Hank Dittmar advises governments, companies and communities all over the world on making cities more liveable, resilient and beautiful. From 2005-2013, as Chief Executive of the Prince's Foundation for Building Community, he directed the growth of the charity in the UK and overseas, and managed the development of its practise-based approach to education. He recently stepped down to undertake major development projects for the Foundation as a Special Adviser and on his own. From 2000-2005 Hank was Founding President and CEO of Reconnecting America, which focussed on regenerating communities around historic railway stations and public transport nodes. He was Chairman of the Congress for the New Urbanism from 2003-2005. Hank is an author and writes a regular column on architecture for Building Design.

Tim Brennan is Senior Regeneration Adviser in the Government Advice Team at English Heritage. His current role covers areas such as EH engagement with the national regeneration and economic growth agendas, strategic housing policy, capital investment in school buildings and national tourism policy. Tim has led on a number of projects, including research on housing growth in and around historic towns and noise impacts of airport expansion on the historic environment. He also led on the publication of The Changing Face of the High Street (2013), which focused on retail and town centre trends, their implications for historic places and best practice in terms of addressing current challenges.

Steve Tilbury is Corporate Director at Winchester City Council with responsibility for a range of services and major projects, and a member of the Executive Committee of the Historic Towns Forum. Winchester is one of England’s most important historic towns and also subject to significant pressure to deliver economic and housing growth which creates a challenging context for decision making.

Dave Chetwyn is Managing Director of Urban Vision Enterprise CIC, Chair of the Historic Towns Forum and Vice Chair of the National Planning Forum. He is also planning adviser to Locality, an Associate of the Consultation Institute and a Design Council CABE Built Environment Expert (BEE). Previous roles include Head of Planning Aid England, Chair of the Institute of Historic Building Conservation and a team leader and other roles in local Government. Dave has advised and participated in various Government stakeholder groups, reviews and parliamentary select committees on planning, regeneration, heritage, urban design, economic development, state aid and community engagement.

Martyn Evans is the Creative Director at Cathedral Group, a specialist mixed-use property developer based in an C18 listed church in SE1. Cathedral's £2.5bn development portfolio includes a number of large mixed-use public/private partnership schemes in London and the South East, regenerating town centres and building new public facilities funded by private speculative development. Regeneration schemes include the former EMI/HMV factory complex in Hayes, West London, 19 acres of the Greenwich Peninsula and The Movement, a mixed use site next to the DLR station in Greenwich, South East London. In May 2014 Cathedral was acquired by Development Securities PLC, a joint venture partner. Before joining the Cathedral board in 2011, Martyn ran a branding and communications consultancy, working in the property, regeneration and urban design sectors for, among others, CABE, The Design Council and Design for London with a particular focus on regeneration through creative industry and cultural engagement.

Bethan Cornwall is the National Heritage at Risk Grade II Project Manager at English Heritage, leading on an initiative that will seek to better understand the condition of England’s Grade II listed buildings through the engagement of local volunteers. Bethan joined English Heritage in 2011 following a Masters in Buildings Archaeology from The University of York. She was a Casework Officer in the North East office, co-ordinating grant cases including Black Barn Northumberland that was recently awarded a Constructing Excellence award. Bethan has also played a key role in the assessment of statutory casework in London and has been a panellist for the English Heritage Angel Awards.

Robert Evans joined Argent Group PLC in 2001 and in 2012 he became a founding Partner of Argent (Property Development) Services LLP. He is a Chartered Surveyor and has overall responsibility for Argent’s residential projects and oversees communications and public affairs. He is also one of the Partners who secures new development opportunities. Robert has led the planning work at King’s Cross since 2001 and has also been involved in Argent projects in Manchester and the Thames Valley. Before joining Argent, he worked in planning and environmental consultancy and gained experience in a wide range of public and private sector development and infrastructure projects in the UK and abroad.

Dale Ingram is an historic buildings and planning consultant. Her company, Planning For Pubs focuses entirely on the repair and reopening of closed pubs; creating brand new pubs and the conservation and defence of historic pubs and breweries. Dale was for three years a member of CAMRA's national Pubs Heritage and Planning Advisory Groups and received CAMRA’s Campaigner of the Year award in 2013 for her work as a pub activist working with community campaign groups and on planning reform in local, regional and national government. She has worked previously for a conservation architect and at SAVE Britain’s Heritage.

Ian Lush began his career as a viola-player, in the Iceland Symphony and Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestras. He moved into arts administration in 1986 and held a number of senior positions, including Marketing Director of the Barbican Centre, and for eight years Managing Director of the London Mozart Players. Ian was appointed to the new position of Chief Executive of the Architectural Heritage Fund in 2003, since when he has been broadening the reach of its work and increasing its external funding, most recently bringing in £3.7million from the Andrew Lloyd Webber Foundation, English Heritage, the J Paul Getty Jr Charitable Trust and the Pilgrim Trust. From 2006-12 Ian was Project Director for ‘Discovering Places’, the heritage and environment project for the Cultural Olympiad.
