OFFICERS and
TRUSTEES
CHAIR
Dave
Chetwyn MA, MRTPI, IHBC is Head of Planning Aid England with the Royal
Town Planning Institute (RTPI). Before joining the RTPI, Dave spent 17 years
working in planning and urban regeneration in local Government, specialising in
design and heritage-led regeneration. He has also helped to develop and deliver
training programmes and adult education for CABE, the Civic Trust and Keele
University. Dave has been involved with various Government sounding-boards,
stakeholder groups and parliamentary select committees concerned with
regeneration, planning, heritage protection, urban design and State Aid. He
lives in Stoke-on-Trent and has a partner living in Liverpool.

VICE
CHAIR
Sheila Stones,
has been historic buildings and areas adviser with English Heritage
since 2000, initially with the North West and since 2002 in London,
prior to which she was a senior conservation officer with Salford
Council for eight years. She was Chair of the IHBC North West Branch
and is currently Secretary of the London Branch and a main organiser of
their annual day conferences. She originally trained as a planner and
worked in both private practice and local government before
specialising in conservation

CHAIR
FINANCE AND RESOURCES COMMITTEE
Dr
Richard Morrice, an architectural historian, has been an
Inspector of Historic Buildings at English Heritage/DOE since 1982. He
was Projects Officer between 1991 and 1995 and has been Secretary of
IHBC since then. He is a Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries of London.

CHAIR
OF MEMBERSHIP AND ETHICS COMMITTEE
Jo Evans, is
a historic buildings consultant working for two local authorities as
well as numerous and wide-ranging private clients. She was in local
government conservation for 12 years at Brighton and Guildford but left
in 2000 when her second child was born. She has been on the committee
of the South East branch for many years, first as the treasurer and
latterly as the branch's membership secretary.

CHAIR OF
EDUCATION TRAINING AND STANDARDS COMMITTEE
John
Preston, read architecture and art history at Cambridge
University and is now Conservation and Design Officer with Cambridge
City Council. As a member of the Education Committee he represents the
Institute on CoTAC, on the Supervisory Board for the Register of
Architects Accredited in Building Conservation, and on working groups
developing NVQs. He is an external examiner for the Anglia and
Nottingham conservation courses and is a printmaker and painter.

CHAIR
OF COMMUNICATIONS AND OUTREACH COMMITTEE
Mike Brown is a
Chartered Building Surveyor and currently Team Leader for Conservation
at the London Borough of Enfield . He serves on the London Branch
committee and is a member of the Consultations group.
