Bob Kindred MBE BA IHBC MRTPI is Head of Conservation & Urban Design for Ipswich Borough Council and has been involved local government heritage management for over 25 years. He was Editor of `Context' for 9 years until 1999 when he was also awarded the MBE for services to IHBC. He represents the Institute on UNESCO UK, the UK Association of Preservation Trusts and as a Heritage Advisor to the Local Government Association. He is the Institute’s Government Liaison Secretary; is Standing Special Advisor on Heritage to the House of Commons Culture Media & Sport Select Committee; heritage professional in but has also served on numerous Government and English Heritage Commissions and Inquiries.
