Achievements 2005/2006

  • All members notified of dates of Branch meetings, Members of Branch Committee, County Reps. and date of 2006 AGM

  • Programme of Branch meetings up to AGM completed.

  • Organised free visit to look around Stoke Rochford Hall with architect in charge of post-fire restoration.

  • 4 new Full Members, 1 Affiliate Member and 1 Associate Member recruited so far this year.

  • Continued monitoring of use of IHBC ‘Conserving the Built Environment’ Education Pack including possible monitoring of ‘hits’ on web site.

  • Branch Rep continues to represent IHBC EM Branch at East Midlands Heritage Forum

  • Branch Rep has represented IHBC EM on the East Midlands Heritage Counts 2005 Steering Group

  • Mark Strawbridge/Julie Anne Renfrew continue to represent IHBC EM Branch at Nottingham Urban Design Forum.

  • Charles Glenn continues to represent IHBC EM Branch on Derby City Council Conservation Area Advisory Committee.

  • Roy Lewis continues to represent IHBC on UDAL

  • Jane Roylance continues to sit on IHBC Technical Panel

  • Susan Dobby continues to represent IHBC on Leicester City Conservation Advisory Panel

  • Branch Chair represents IHBC at East Midlands meetings of ALGAO

  • Annual General Meeting and visit to Bolsover Castle organised for 6 September 2006

  • Discussion and implementation of views of branch members responding to questionnaire sent out in 2005 to ascertain their role within EM Branch and the role and activities of the Branch.  

 

Plans for 2006/2007

  • Agree and advise Branch members of dates of Branch meetings 2006/2007.

  • Advise Branch members of the names of officers, County Reps. and other Committee members elected for 2006/2007.

  • Continued monitoring of use of IHBC ‘Conserving the Built Environment’ Education Pack

  • Consider requests to widen distribution, application and use of Education Pack CD-ROMs.

  • Membership secretary to be appointed to deal with membership applications and to coordinate recruitment drive for new and lapsed members

  • Continued representation on East Midlands Regional Heritage Forum

  • Continued representation on East Midlands Heritage Education Group

  • Continued representation on Nottingham Urban Design Forum

  • Continued representation on Derby City Council Conservation Area Advisory Committee

  • Continued representation on Leicester City Council Conservation Advisory Panel

  • Branch member to hand over IHBC representation on UDAL to Director.

  • Continued Branch member representation on IHBC Technical Panel.

  • Continued representation at East Midlands meetings of ALGAO

  • Continue to develop role of Branch members and activities of the Branch based on results of 2005 questionnaire, including a visit to Wollaton Hall Nottingham.

  • Finalise details for Branch AGM in September 2007.

  • Branch to distribute more information from the secretary and branch representative to the membership by email, including flyers and AGM papers.
